A star is simply defined as a gaseous ball of
fire which is mostly made up of Hydrogen and Helium. Nuclear fusion
(combing of two lighter elements into a heavier element, for example
Hydrogen
+Hydrogen= Helium) reaction which takes place inside a star
releases heat, light and energy balances the own gravity of the star
from shrinking into a small one, if the mass of the star increases its
lifetime decreases, because nuclear fusion reaction takes place faster
and there will be no enough pressure for a continuous fusion reaction.
Stars always born from Nebula, which was a gaseous cloud under certain
pressure certain amount of gas collapse into a star.
In the 1960s Freeman John Dyson a British-American theoretical and mathematical physicist, wrote a paper for the journal Science titled
"Search for Artificial Stellar Sources of Infrared Radiation" in which he proposed of building artificial structures by technologically advanced species around their own star which they are revolving to capture their star's total energy and use it as a renewable energy. Which we call as Dyson Sphere.
BUILDING A DYSON SPHERE:
If we could build a Dyson sphere with just 25 % efficiency we can produce enough electricity for 1 million year every second. Which would stop all the carbon emissions for electricity. We would be the real star travelers. We need raw material to cover our whole sun with stable structure, which we can get by using the planet mercury and other near asteroids as raw material. Not only that, but we need enough energy to process the raw materials into finished products, which we could have by orbiting solar collectors around mercury. Even though we get all these if we build a hollow ball around the sun an asteroid strike will make the entire structure swallowed by the sun. There is another solution for this in spite of building a hollow ball we can build a net of solar collectors around the sun which is called Dyson Swarm. But we could not as much as energy from a Dyson Sphere. Practically at present we humans cannot create one. We would eventually create one in a thousand years.
