SKYSCRAPER:
Due to the increase in population we humans started to construct tall buildings to satisfy our needs. Usually a building with 40 or more floors and above 150 m in height are said to be a skyscraper. New York is nicknamed as "CITY OF SKYSCRAPERS" due to the presence of many skyscrapers
BURJ KHALIFA:
Burj Khalifa is the world's tallest skyscraper which is about 828 m height with about 163 floors, while the world's tallest statue (Statue of Unity) is 182 m height hence to attain its height we need approximately 5 statues to be arranged one by one. Burj Khalifa is located in Dubai, UAE. It was actually named as Burj Dubai and was renamed in honor of Khalif bin Zayed Al Nahayan, the president of the UAE (United Arab Emirates) as the UAE government gave DUBAI money to pay its debts. It was a multipurpose building that consist of office space, residential apartments, hotels. Not only that, but it also consists of the famous Dubai fountain, Burj Khalifa park. It has 8 world records.
CONSTRUCTION:
The construction of the Burj Khalifa started on 6 January 2004 and ended on 4 January 2010 which was about 6 years. At the time of construction there were 4 deaths. It is about 33000000 liters of concrete, 39,000 tones of steel and 1,03,000 m of glass. Many new technologies were created for its construction and air conditioning purpose.
