WHY DO WE FEAR?:
We fear when we feel insecure and in danger, while we are in fear we will be more alert and conscious to every single actions that would take place around us. Those dangers include both physical or psychological
SCIENCE BEHIND FEAR:
When we fear our Amygdala a small part of the brain come into action, it alerts our nervous system and make our body ready to face the difficulty. Adrenal gland which is situated on the kidney secretes two hormones Adrenalin and Noradrenaline which is called as "3 F hormone" (Fight, Flight, Fright), these hormones increases heart beat rate and blood pressure during emergency situations like when we are in fear.
Usually fear is referred by a term "phobia". There are three different types of phobia
* SOCIAL PHOBIA- it is a social anxiety disorder people having social phobia have trouble in talking to the people and in meeting new people.
*Agoraphobia- It is another type of disorder, people with agoraphobia would fear and avoid places which cause them panic and feel helpless.
*SPECIFIC PHOBIA- It is another type of phobia in which people would fear of a specific object. Some Specific phobia include:
- Cynophobia- fear of dogs
- Phasmophobia- fear of ghosts
- Arachnophobia: The fear of spiders
- Ophidiophobia: The fear of snakes.
- Acrophobia: The fear of heights.
- Astraphobia: The fear of thunder and lightning.
- Trypanophobia: The fear of injections.
- Aqua phobia- fear of water. These are some of the common types of fear.
NOMOPHOBIA:
Nomophobia is a type of specific phobia related to mobile phones, people with this disorder doesn't get fear on mobile phones, but they would fear when they are unable to access their mobile and their social media. This is one of the growing type of phobia.
OVERCOME FEAR:
We can overcome fear by diverting ourselves from the situation, by building up our confidence through meditation, The most efficient way to overcome is to face the fear by practicing ourselves.
