          Tree can be said as elders of plants, which have woody stem, long branches, strong in nature. Which is capable of growing distinct height, There are many types of trees like Evergreen trees, Deciduous trees, etc. A Group of trees, plants shrubs can be called as forest.

              General Sherman tree is the world's largest known living tree situated in the giant forest of Sequoia National park USA. James Wolverton a naturalist named the tree because he served as a Lieutenant (a rank in army) under General William Tecaumseh Sherman.

CHARACTERISTICS:

              Why the tree is said to be the largest? It is largest because the volume of the tree trunk is about 1,487 cu m which means we can fill 14,87,000 Liters of water in its trunk, Its diameter at the base is about 11m, it is about 84 m tall and its estimated age is between 2,300-2,700 years, while its family has an age limit between 3000-3,500 years.. Even though it is the largest tree in its family Giant Sequoia, it is 0ne of the young person in its family.
