SOUND:
Sound is created by rapid vibration of the air molecules. We humans can hear a particular range of frequency (number of vibrations per minute) which is between 20Hz-20000Hz, we can't hear less than 20Hz or more than 20000 Hz. The loudness of the sound is measured by the unit decibel(db).
150 dbs is enough to tear our ear drum. 185db-200db of sound is enough to kill us.
VOLCANO:
Volcano can be simply explained as an opening in the Earth's crust which erupts lava, ashes, etc. The inner layer of the have very high temperature which makes the rocks nearby to melt and forms liquid magma. The eruption of this magma with great pressure is called volcanic eruption. Triggers of volcanic eruption include movement of tectonic plates, earthquake, etc. The lava erupted by the volcano is about 1200 °C that destroys everything in its way. After several days the lava cools down it would be the most fertile in nature.
TECTONIC PLATES:
Lithosphere is the uppermost layer of Earth which includes crust and upper mantle. The Lithosphere is divided into many large pieces called tectonic plates, They move and interact with one another to cause severe damage.
WORLD'S LOUDEST SOUND:
KRAKATOA VolcanoOn 27,August 1883, our mother Earth produced a huge sound ever recorded making it one of the most vulnerable days in the Earth's history. The KRAKATOA island is a volcanic island (a piece of land formed due to volcanic eruption) located between Sumatra and Java islands INDONESIA. The volcanic eruption that took place on the island produced the world's loudest sound. Like most of the volcanic eruptions, this eruption is also caused by movement of the tectonic plates. The explosion killed more than 30,000 people, it also caused a tsunami whose waves are about 30 m height washed most of the coastal villages in Sumatra and Java. The sound produced by the eruption is 180db which was heard by the people about 5000 km away from the site of eruption. It also dropped the global temperature to several degrees. It is an active volcano which means it would erupt anytime. Recently it was erupted on 11 August 2020. Even though it was an active volcano the eruption that took place in 1883 is unforgettable.
