Bose Einstein Condensate is considered as the fifth state of matter, an ultra cold state which can only be created in laboratory, in this state the temperature of the atoms were dropped nearly absolute zero or the temperature in which atoms theoretically stops moving entirely.
In June 2018, NASA's researchers build the CAL which is one of the first facility to produce the fifth state of matter in the Earth orbit. It was placed in ISS (International Space Station). "It is the coldest place in the universe". In this facility the temperature of the atoms are dropped to nearly absolute zero (-273 °C or 459 °F), so that it will move slower which opens up the gate to study them closer. It can solve the unsolved mysteries or new questions that rise on quantum physics. Scientist produces Bose Einstein Condensate in vacuum, because while doing it on earth the Earth's gravity will pull the atom downwards, hence we can't observe it, putting in ISS is the most efficient way than the zero gravity towers or zero gravity airplane which could produce weightlessness for few minutes. Recently the facility had undergone upgrade with the installation of atom interferometer, that uses atoms to precisely measure the force, including gravitational force.
